What's Up!

Langham Recreation Posted on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 5:09 PM

The Recreation Department is looking ahead to warmer weather and planning our annual Langham Days Celebration June 20, 21 & 22!  The planning is coming together nicely, with family friendly activities.  All the old stand bys will be around; pancake breakfast, parade, slo pitch tournament, Library book, hotdog and hamburger sale, Museum Pie Sale, Music at the Museum and much more.  This year we are all excited about the addition of Family Races sponsored by Affinity Credit Union!  Practice your 3 legged racing, potato sack racing, etc. Face Painting and fish pond will return as well as the bouncy castles.  We will have the Farmer's Market Craft and Trade Fair across from the Museum and Library... come check out the booths.  We are very excited to introduce the "Chili Chili Bang Bang Cook Off".  Test your chili recipie against others to see who's is the best in town!  Judged by our local Fire Fighters, make your chili hot or mild; with meat or not; with beans or not...just make it good! If you would like more information on the contest, call Cori at the Town Office.  We are also proud to partner with Prarie Players this year.  They are producing "Annie" and will be performing during Langham days June 20, 21 & 22 matinee.  And last but not least we have booked Country Rock band Aces Wyld to be our feature performer at Music At The Museum.

We will be sending out more information as we get closer...we are so excited about this year's event, we wanted you give you a taste of what's happening.

Stay Tuned....
